I've heard other people complain about other brands making their software stupid too. One of my favorite printers ever, and I've had a lot of them. The bad part of this printer was when it gave a B200 error and could not be fixed. You don't always have to use all that is available in software, like, only what you need. I like the individual ink cartridges too. I have upgraded to Canon's newer printers, but their upgraded software is not nearly as easy to use or as logical.

I like the back load because I print a lot of cards and pictures, and it's just drop in the paper! The photo print is great too, and easy to use. You can scan something once and save it several times, including pdf. The software is easy to use, and very logical. This is a replacement and a backup printer for the same one.
